Treasury Consultant
Our client is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to support a critical treasury function during a period of operational transformation. This remote contract role will play a key part in providing leadership with timely visibility into liquidity, cash requirements, and short-term financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong cash management expertise, experience working in leveraged or turnaround environments, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.
Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, and enhance the company's rolling 16-week cash flow forecast, ensuring timely weekly updates and reconciliations.
- Analyze cash receipts, disbursements, and liquidity trends to provide accurate short-term cash visibility and reporting.
- Partner with finance and operational leaders to improve forecasting assumptions and drive greater forecast accuracy.
- Support cash management activities, liquidity planning initiatives, and executive reporting requirements.
- Assist leadership in monitoring cash performance as the organization approaches key lending and covenant milestones.
- Develop longer-range cash flow projections that align near-term liquidity planning with broader financial objectives.
- Evaluate current treasury processes and technology, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Participate in the assessment, selection, and future implementation of treasury management tools and systems.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to treasury reporting, controls, and cash management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of treasury, corporate finance, cash management, or related experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing rolling 13-week or 16-week cash flow forecasts.
- Background supporting organizations in distressed, turnaround, restructuring, or highly leveraged environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of debt structures, lender reporting requirements, and financial covenant monitoring.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building and maintaining detailed cash flow models.
- Experience implementing, optimizing, or evaluating Treasury Management Systems (TMS) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in an evolving environment with changing priorities and limited structure.
Compensation
