Shift
Typically eight-hour days with core working hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm (40 hrs per week). Some weekends/evenings as needed to meet workload demands.
Job Summary
The Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky is Kentucky’s Center on Disability.

HDI is seeking an Early Care and Education Coach to join our team and support the Child Care Aware project.

Child Care Aware of Kentucky is committed to ensuring families have access to safe, affordable, high-quality child care. Our goal is to improve child care quality by offering free technical assistance and training to child care providers and connecting the community to resources and educational materials which support high quality child care.

Serving the 8 counties within the Pennyrile district of Western Kentucky, this Health and Safety Coach position will:
  • Provide individualized, relationship-based technical assistance to licensed early care and education programs with child care regulatory compliance and license deficiencies.
  • Assist child care providers in maintaining compliance with Kentucky child care regulations and address any licensing deficiencies identified by the Division of Regulated Child Care.
  • Collaborate with regional team and statewide network of ECE Coaches providing technical assistance to ECE providers in the areas of health and safety, quality, professional development, and training

This position will work from a home office and requires significant travel throughout the eight (8) counties in the Pennyrile district of Western KY for on-site visits.

Preferred candidates will live in the Pennyrile district of Western KY, have both lived experiences and child care work experiences throughout the Pennyrile district and demonstrate knowledge of the southcentral KY community.
