Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a dynamic Shift Supervisor for our Baltimore, MD location! 


Lead a dedicated team of direct care professionals in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for residents. As a Shift Supervisor, you will provide hands-on leadership, oversee daily program operations, mentor staff, and play a vital role in crisis intervention, resident care, and treatment plan support. Schedule/Location/Pay: 

  • 1301 Woodbourne Ave, Baltimore, MD
  • Salary Range - $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
  • Full Time - On-site opportunity - Sunday - Wednesday - 7:00am - 3:30pm

Position Summary: Provide leadership to direct care professionals and ensure the safety of residents and staff during the shift. 

 

Primary responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily program operations, ensuring the safety and security of residents, staff, and the facility.
  • Provide leadership and direction to direct care staff, ensuring adequate coverage, resident supervision, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Respond to resident incidents, crises, and emergencies using therapeutic intervention and de-escalation techniques; complete required documentation and reporting.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and therapeutic environment by ensuring compliance with health, safety, medication, and confidentiality standards.
  • Train, coach, and support staff development, including onboarding, performance feedback, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to support resident treatment plans, monitor resident well-being, and communicate concerns requiring intervention.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including incident reports, resident files, and shift communications.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

 Required Education and Licensure:

  • Requires an Associate’s Degree or an equivalency in credits. 
  • Requires 2 years full-time experience in residential care. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements 
  • All client-facing employees must successfully participate and complete a Safe Crisis Management behavior intervention method exam and training.
  • Must successfully pass a CJIS background check.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Prefer 1-year supervisory experience.   

Physical Demands

• Must be able to assist staff in physical interventions and restraints of residents.  

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.  

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time (2-4 hours).  

• Must be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a  residential treatment facility.
