Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This position will primarily focus on Accounts Payable, including processing and maintaining 1099s for contractors, while also providing backup support across other accounting and finance functions as needed. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a well-rounded foundation in accounting within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable processing and vendor invoice management.
• Working knowledge of Form 1099 reporting requirements for contractors.
• Familiarity with journal entries, general ledger activity, and account reconciliations.
• Exposure to sales tax, corporate tax, or corporate tax return support activities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain accurate financial records.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and step into cross-functional accounting support when needed.
