Jr. Paralegal
We are looking for a detail-oriented Jr. Paralegal to join a growing litigation team in San Diego, California. This opportunity offers close partnership with senior legal staff and hands-on involvement in active state and federal court matters. The role is well suited for someone who brings strong litigation support experience, enjoys managing case materials efficiently, and can contribute in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, revise, and organize legal documents within SharePoint while maintaining accurate version tracking and meeting filing deadlines.
• Format pleadings, motions, and related court submissions for matters pending in both state and federal courts.
• Assist with all phases of discovery, including drafting requests, organizing productions, and preparing responses for attorney review.
• Support deposition preparation by coordinating schedules, assembling exhibits, and helping develop supporting materials.
• Serve as a point of contact with court personnel and outside counsel regarding filings, hearing logistics, and case status updates.
• Help attorneys and senior paralegals with trial preparation tasks, ensuring case materials are complete, organized, and accessible.
• Maintain orderly case files and monitor deadlines using case management tools and established litigation support processes.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of paralegal experience supporting civil litigation matters.• Practical experience with discovery, including both propounding and responding to requests.
• Background in trial preparation and coordination of pre-trial materials.
• Strong ability to format and finalize legal documents for court submission.
• Proficiency with case management systems and document organization platforms such as SharePoint.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with attorneys, court staff, and opposing counsel.
• Exposure to intellectual property matters, including trademark or copyright work, is a plus.
