Sr. Tax Manager

Hybrid role available! Tax Manager opportunity with a growing public accounting and advisory firm offering a faster path to client ownership and leadership. This is a succession-driven opening where the right person can transition into an existing book of client relationships over time. The work is focused on closely held businesses, business owners, HNW individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps, and individual tax clients, with a blend of review, planning, compliance, and advisory. Ideal background is 8+ recent years in public accounting tax, strong prep/review experience, and comfort working directly with clients. CPA preferred, not required. The team is modern, tech-forward, growth-minded, and building more efficient workflows around tax and advisory. Hybrid flexibility available across Northern NJ, NYC, and remote work once ramped.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Active CPA license is preferred

• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and individual taxpayers.

• Demonstrated experience reviewing and managing complex corporate and individual tax returns and compliance engagements.

• Proficiency with tax preparation and compliance software, including UltraTax.

• Ability to deliver clear tax guidance to clients and build credibility with a range of stakeholders.

• Experience in specialized areas such as state and local tax, international tax, trusts and estates, transaction structuring, or M& A tax is a plus.

Compensation

$120,000.00-$170,000.00 Yearly
