Accounting Manager

We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who can bring strong revenue accounting knowledge and solid general ledger experience to support a growing organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. This contract-to-permanent position is well suited for someone who is comfortable working across multiple entities, managing reconciliations, and contributing to a disciplined month-end close process. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical accounting ability with a process-focused mindset and can work effectively in an environment that values accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee revenue accounting activities and apply appropriate revenue recognition practices in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring balances are accurate, supported, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Support the month-end close cycle by recording journal entries, analyzing general ledger activity, and helping maintain reliable financial records.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate accounting variances, address discrepancies, and improve the quality of financial reporting.
• Assist with audit-related requests by organizing documentation, explaining account activity, and supporting financial statement audit procedures.
• Contribute to reconciliation process improvements, including work associated with implementing automated reconciliation workflows in FloQast AutoRec.
• Use NetSuite to manage accounting transactions, review financial data, and maintain consistency in reporting across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Experience in revenue accounting, senior accounting, or a closely related accounting role with strong exposure to revenue recognition.
• Proven ability to perform account reconciliations in a multi-entity environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience supporting month-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger analysis.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite and confidence navigating accounting data within an ERP system.
• Strong organizational skills and a process-oriented approach to managing recurring accounting tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly, solve problems independently, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation

$47.50-$55.00 Hourly
