Accounts Receivable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Oversee collection activities for assigned accounts, ensuring follow-up efforts align with established deadlines and performance expectations.
• Investigate account histories to identify payment issues, document findings, and support accurate resolution of outstanding balances.
• Review customer accounts each day to correct short payments, overpayments, unapplied cash, and other billing or payment irregularities.
• Complete reconciliations and detailed account analysis to confirm balances are accurate and financial records remain reliable.
• Apply sound judgment to resolve account exceptions promptly while supporting a positive client experience.
• Prepare and share updates on account status, trends, and problem areas with management on a regular basis.
• Handle escalated account matters in accordance with defined procedures and involve additional support when necessary.
• Support cash application and billing-related activities to help maintain accurate receivables and account documentation.
Qualifications:
• Experience in accounts receivable with a strong background in commercial collections.• Working knowledge of cash application, billing support, and daily cash activity processing.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client and internal stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to organize competing priorities, meet deadlines, and manage follow-up activities consistently.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
