Full Charge Bookkeeper

Concord, NC 28027, US Full Time
Compensation: $60 to $70 Yearly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization in Concord, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who can oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, maintain accurate financial records, and support timely reporting across payables, receivables, payroll, and reconciliations. The successful candidate will bring strong experience with QuickBooks while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance in all financial activities.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete bookkeeping process, maintaining accurate general ledger activity and supporting reliable month-end and year-end financial records.

• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor accounts payable activity to keep obligations current and well documented.

• Manage customer billing, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to maintain healthy accounts receivable.

• Reconcile bank accounts, company credit card transactions, and employee expense reports to ensure all balances are accurate and supported.

• Administer payroll, including benefits-related deductions and certified payroll reporting when required.

• Support benefits administration by maintaining accurate payroll-related updates and coordinating enrollment or deduction changes.

• Prepare and review financial data in QuickBooks, ensuring transactions are coded properly and reports reflect current business activity.

• Assist with year-end closing tasks by organizing records, resolving discrepancies, and preparing documentation needed for reporting and audit support.


Qualifications:

• Proven experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities across multiple accounting functions.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks for transaction processing, account maintenance, and reporting.

• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation activities.

• Background processing payroll in Paycom, Paychex, Paylocity, or a similar system, including benefit deductions and related payroll administration.

• Familiarity with certified payroll requirements and accurate payroll recordkeeping practices.

• Experience reconciling company credit cards, employee expenses, and supporting documentation.

• Ability to manage year-end close preparation with strong attention to accuracy, deadlines, and financial detail.
