Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a team in a contract-to-permanent position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping financial records accurate, supporting daily accounting operations, and working with both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to core finance processes while maintaining organized data and timely invoice activity.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting details, and prepare payments in accordance with established timelines.
• Record incoming customer payments, apply transactions accurately, and help maintain current receivable balances.
• Enter financial and billing information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reconcile account records and investigate discrepancies to support clean and reliable financial data.
• Use QuickBooks and related tools to update transactions, maintain documentation, and assist with routine accounting tasks.
• Monitor invoice activity, follow up on outstanding items, and help ensure efficient day-to-day cash flow support.
• Organize accounting files and maintain clear records for auditing, reporting, and internal reference purposes.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks in a business accounting environment.
• Strong data entry skills with consistent accuracy and speed.
• Hands-on experience processing invoices and maintaining payment records.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Basic understanding of accounting procedures and financial recordkeeping.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with internal teams and external contacts.

Compensation

$22.00-$24.00 Hourly
