Regional Sales Director
Sager Electronics is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Regional Sales Director to lead and grow our sales organization in the Southeast and MidAtlantic regions. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for driving regional sales performance, developing high-performing teams, strengthening supplier and customer partnerships, and delivering profitable growth.
The Regional Sales Director will provide leadership to Service Center and Regional Management personnel while ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies, customer engagement initiatives, and market expansion plans. This individual will play a critical role in advancing Sager's market presence and achieving key financial objectives.
Territory Coverage: Southeast and MidAtlantic Regions – this position is in Lake Mary, Florida
What You’ll Do:
Drive Regional Growth & Performance
- Lead assigned sales teams in achieving regional sales, profitability, productivity, and service objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company growth initiatives.
- Evaluate market opportunities and create business plans to support expansion into new markets and customer segments.
- Identify opportunities to increase share-of-wallet by expanding manufacturer and product line penetration within existing accounts.
- Develop strategies to acquire new customers and maximize territory potential.
Lead, Develop & Inspire Teams
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top sales leadership and talent.
- Ensure service centers and territories are appropriately staffed and trained.
- Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations regarding promotions, compensation, transfers, and other employment decisions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Identify skill gaps and create development plans to strengthen leadership capabilities within the organization.
Strengthen Customer & Supplier Relationships
- Build executive-level relationships with key customers to understand business needs and uncover growth opportunities.
- Lead efforts to resolve complex customer and product-related issues.
- Partner closely with supplier representatives and manufacturers to drive growth, training, design wins, and market engagement.
- Promote and maintain strong vendor, factory, and representative relationships throughout the region.
Manage Business Operations
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets.
- Monitor regional performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure service levels consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Oversee asset management, including inventory and receivables generated by regional sales activities.
- Collaborate with Credit, Marketing, Purchasing, Product Management, and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives.
Champion Communication & Culture
- Maintain regular communication with leadership and direct reports regarding customers, market trends, competitors, supplier strategies, and business performance.
- Encourage open communication and effective issue resolution throughout the organization.
- Create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, transparency, and employee engagement.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and strong leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, accounting, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience within the electronic and/or electrical distribution industry.Minimum of 2 years of people management experience leading sales or operational teams.
- Proven success driving sales growth, profitability, and organizational performance.
- Strong experience developing customer relationships and managing supplier partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams.
- Deep understanding of electronic or electrical distribution markets.
- Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and regional operations.
- Experience with ERP/CRM platforms; PeopleSoft experience is a plus.

- Ability to analyze complex business data and make informed decisions.

Compensation
The typical compensation structure includes a base salary and a quarterly incentive opportunity representing the total target income.
