The American College of Cardiology (ACC) Member Recruitment team focuses on recruiting new members to the College and reinstating lapsed members. The team processes membership applications for all member types and runs periodic elections. They coordinate Convocation related activities and serve as staff support for the Credentialing & Member Services Committee.
The Sr. Specialist represents the College on a daily basis by providing outstanding customer service via phone and email to members and staff at all levels. The Sr. Specialist processes all new and advancing member applications. The Sr. Specialist assists with the preparation and execution of the annual Convocation ceremony.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the College’s expert on each category of membership and their corresponding criteria, to support recruitment initiatives and needs of staff and key stakeholders.
- Utilize the association management software (Salesforce/Fonteva) to maintain accurate data, process membership applications, and generate reports.
- Assist Sr. Manager and other staff in planning and executing various member recruitment initiatives.
- Work with relevant staff to assist with ongoing member retention efforts.
- Organize and attend conference calls/meetings, prepare meeting materials, minutes, action items, and follow-up with designated staff or member work groups.
- Develop, implement, and update annual recruitment/marketing plan and define key measurables for success.
- Successfully engage with external partners and stakeholders to support ongoing member recruitment activities.
- Plan and implement all logistics for meetings as needed, including Committee meetings and Annual Meeting events.
- Work with relevant member leaders and staff to ensure that the strategy and operational plan aligns with the College mission.
- Other duties as necessary in support of member recruitment activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of progressive experience in association management, nonprofit, or healthcare industry. Graduate level degrees may be considered in lieu of experience
- Proven experience with developing and supporting committee/council/group activities; including preparation of meeting materials and relevant follow-through on activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
- Ability to initiate and persevere on multiple, complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to follow through on assignments/duties in a timely and complete manner.
- Diplomatic communication skills with members, member leaders and staff leaders.
- Adaptable and flexible; able to work in challenging and changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in MS applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Work effectively in a team, matrix environment.
- Flexibility for early morning or late evening conference calls when necessary.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per year.
Desired:
- Experience with Salesforce/Fonteva CRM.
- Experience in healthcare industry or nonprofit association.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Arabic preferred) .
Salary Range: 70,000-73,000
