Business Accountability Associate – Securities-Based Lending | Wealth & Investment Management
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Accountability Associate to support Securities-Based Lending solutions within Wealth & Investment Management (WIM). In this role, you will review lending applications and supporting documentation, validate the completeness and accuracy of required information, and ensure all lending requirements, verifications, and outstanding issues are resolved prior to account onboarding. You will partner closely with Financial Advisors, Lending Specialists, and other key stakeholders to facilitate a seamless client experience while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to evaluate documentation, identify potential risks, and make informed recommendations. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with U.S.-based stakeholders in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment supporting customized lending solutions for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs).
In this role, you will:
- Participate in and provide support for low-complexity matters pertaining to the business’ policy and regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, or control efforts
- Research, review, document, and present findings related to issues, records, policies, and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained
- Receive direction from supervisors and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, records, and other business information
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to implement actions in support of risk-mitigation and control initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, lending operations, loan documentation review or credit services operations.
- Experience reviewing loan applications, supporting documentation, income verification documents, credit reports, or credit decision rationale.
- Strong understanding of credit principles and lending processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex processes, explain decisions, and confidently engage with business partners and stakeholders.
- Experience partnering with Financial Advisors, Underwriters, Credit Analysts, Relationship Managers, or Lending Operations teams is preferred.
- Experience supporting High-Net-Worth (HNW) clients, Wealth Management, Brokerage, Investment Services, or Private Banking is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and demonstrate leadership potential.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline preferred.
- Experience within organizations with comparable lending or underwriting processes is highly desirable.
Job Expectations:
- Amenable to working a fixed night shift aligned with U.S. business hours (approximately 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM during Daylight Saving Time).
- Amenable to having weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as regular rest days.
- Amenable to observing the U.S. holiday calendar.
- Willing to work fully onsite at Five Neo, BGC during the first two months of training.
- Amenable to transitioning to a hybrid work arrangement after training, with three days onsite and two days remote per week.
- Willing to be based at Five Neo, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig.
Required qualification has to be minimum 6+ years of overall experience .Knowledge on capital markets, underwriting, securities based lending or other lending products will be preferred.
