Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Oversee routine HR operations for a manufacturing site, ensuring timely and detail-oriented support for employees and leaders.
• Process payroll through ADP Workforce Now, including regular review of timekeeping records and payroll-related updates.
• Track attendance patterns, apply company attendance guidelines, and assist with corrective action documentation when needed.
• Support a mixed workforce of union, non-union hourly, and salaried employees with consistent HR guidance.
• Apply collective bargaining agreement terms appropriately when responding to workplace concerns or employee situations.
• Respond to employee questions involving pay, benefits, company policies, and general employment matters.
• Work closely with plant leadership to address employee relations issues and help resolve personnel concerns effectively.
• Prepare monthly HR reports, maintain workforce data, and keep employee files accurate and compliant with established standards.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion while delivering dependable day-to-day human resources support.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within a manufacturing, plant, or industrial environment.• Practical experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now.
• Familiarity with unionized workforces and the ability to interpret collective bargaining agreements is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of California employment laws and standard human resources practices.
• Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, and independent problem-solving.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight.
• Effective communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills, including strong Excel capabilities.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred.
Compensation
