Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance and purchasing functions on a part-time basis. This role will be 20-30 hours weekly and is responsible for processing invoices, managing purchase order requisitions, ensuring proper approvals are obtained, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and experience working with accounting or procurement systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner

• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation

• Prepare and enter purchase order requisitions in accordance with company policies

• Verify proper approvals and supporting documentation for payment requests

• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice discrepancies, payment status, and PO questions

• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on pending approvals or receipt confirmations

• Maintain organized electronic and paper files for AP and procurement documentation
