Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Hudson, Massachusetts on a Long-term Contract basis. This position will support core accounting operations across payables, receivables, payroll-related entries, reconciliations, tax postings, and month-end activities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger experience, works comfortably in ERP systems, and can contribute to related operational tasks as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting activities by recording transactions accurately across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger.

• Prepare and post journal entries related to payroll, taxes, accruals, and other routine financial activity.

• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

• Assist with month-end closing by organizing supporting documentation, reviewing account balances, and helping finalize reporting deliverables.

• Support corporate and sales tax accounting through entry preparation, documentation review, and coordination of required filings.

• Use ERP to maintain financial data, generate reports, and ensure accounting records remain current and reliable.

• Provide additional support in areas such as inventory tracking, procurement-related accounting, and other operational finance needs as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with hands-on exposure to day-to-day transactional accounting.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation practices.

• Background supporting corporate tax, sales tax, and related accounting entries.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes and the ability to work accurately under deadlines.

• Proficiency with accounting software used in a multi-function finance environment.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
