Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Dallas, TX 75024, US Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee core accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting in Dallas, Texas. This role will guide close activities, strengthen reporting processes, and partner with business leaders across affiliated operations to resolve issues and improve consistency. The position also plays a key role in compliance, audit support, and the development of accounting team members.


Responsibilities:

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation while evaluating account activity for variances, unusual items, and reporting accuracy.

• Manage accounting and reporting work for affiliated entities, including forecasting support and close coordination with operational stakeholders.

• Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidation-related activity to confirm balances are recorded correctly and properly eliminated.

• Contribute to consolidated financial statements, management reporting packages, quarterly filing support, and other required financial schedules.

• Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, respond to audit requests, and assist with adoption of updated accounting guidance and reporting requirements.

• Provide leadership to Staff and Senior Accountants through daily oversight, work review, coaching, and development support.

• Partner with accounts payable and shared services teams to monitor processes, address reporting issues, and advance operational improvements.

• Handle specialized accounting matters such as equity-related transactions, acquisitions, investments, and other assigned strategic projects.


Qualifications:

• Experience managing month-end close and general ledger accounting in a corporate environment.
• Strong background in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules.
• Knowledge of financial statement audits, internal controls, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to analyze balance sheet and income statement activity and investigate reporting variances effectively.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and providing coaching, direction, and performance support.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across accounting, operations, and leadership teams.
• Capable of exercising sound independent judgment on routine and non-routine accounting transactions.
