Remote Technical Services Claims Specialist

We are looking for a Remote Technical Services Claims Specialist to support complex claims handling operations.This Long-term Contract position calls for a detail oriented individual who can assess complicated liability matters, apply policy language accurately, and help deliver fair, timely claim outcomes. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and specialized vendors to strengthen claim resolution, litigation strategy, and service quality.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a caseload of complex liability claims by leading investigations, reviewing damages, and determining coverage based on policy provisions and claim facts.

• Negotiate settlements and resolve disputed matters within assigned authority while ensuring each file is handled in accordance with legal standards, regulatory expectations, and company guidelines.

• Work with outside counsel to shape litigation plans, monitor case progress, and pursue practical strategies that support effective and cost-conscious outcomes.

• Coordinate the work of external partners such as legal providers, consultants, discovery resources, and data or security specialists involved in claim matters.

• Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves by analyzing exposure, reviewing developments, and recommending adjustments that support sound financial forecasting.

• Deliver responsive service to policyholders, brokers, and other stakeholders by providing clear communication and maintaining a high standard of customer care throughout the claim lifecycle.

• Support departmental goals by contributing to planning activities, operational initiatives, and process improvement efforts tied to claims performance and efficiency.

• Serve as a knowledge resource in liability topics by sharing insight, guiding internal understanding of emerging issues, and contributing to industry-facing activities when needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience handling complex insurance claims, ideally within liability or similarly specialized lines of business.
• Strong understanding of policy interpretation, claim administration, compliance requirements, and applicable laws or regulations.
• Proven ability to negotiate settlements, manage disputes, and coordinate litigation strategy with external counsel and vendors.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a consistent focus on service, responsiveness, and high standards of conduct.
• Ability to analyze financial exposure, set reserves, and support cost-conscious decision-making on active claim files.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.
• Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams, external service providers, and internal procedures to achieve timely claim resolution.

Compensation

$55.00-$70.00 Hourly
