Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a team in office of our Jacksonville, Florida client. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can manage the full bookkeeping cycle with accuracy, consistency, and strong ownership of financial records. The role will oversee core accounting activities, maintain organized documentation, and help ensure timely month-end reporting and compliance-related filings.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete bookkeeping process, including maintaining the general ledger and recording financial activity accurately.

• Process vendor invoices and payments while keeping accounts payable records current and well organized.

• Monitor incoming payments, post customer receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable activities.

• Reconcile bank and related financial accounts on a regular basis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Prepare and support month-end closing tasks, including account reviews, journal entries, and financial record balancing.

• Maintain accounting data within QuickBooks and ensure information is entered correctly and updated in a timely manner.

• Assist with the preparation and organization of tax forms and related financial documentation for reporting purposes.

• Support accounting continuity by handling additional bookkeeping duties as needed, including process updates tied to system or workflow changes.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience performing full charge bookkeeping in a detail-oriented business environment.

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and confidence using it for daily accounting functions.

• Hands-on experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Proven ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and on schedule.

• Familiarity with tax forms and maintaining supporting records for filing and compliance activities.

• Experience contributing to or leading month-end close procedures.

• High level of accuracy, organization, and discretion when handling financial information.
