Compensation & Benefits Specialist
We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Professional to join our team in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position supports compensation programs and benefits administration by helping maintain market-competitive pay practices, accurate job architecture, and a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across compensation, benefits, and compliance-related activities.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and refine job profiles, job codes, and pay structures to support consistent role classification and alignment across the organization.
• Evaluate new and updated positions through market pricing analysis and contribute recommendations that support competitive compensation decisions.
• Review internal pay data against external benchmarks, identify gaps or trends, and assist with equity-focused compensation assessments.
• Gather and manage compensation survey information, using online market data tools to support annual review cycles and ad hoc analysis requests.
• Support the rollout of compensation updates, including merit and market adjustments, by coordinating administrative steps and helping communicate changes clearly.
• Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders on position evaluations, organizational changes, and special projects related to total rewards.
• Administer employee benefit programs, including health and welfare offerings, voluntary plans, retirement programs, and executive-level benefits, while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Work with finance and internal partners to reconcile benefit invoices, review eligibility files, and complete audits and compliance checks for ongoing program accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting both compensation administration and employee benefits operations.• Knowledge of market pricing, salary structures, compensation analysis, and total rewards practices.
• Background administering benefit programs such as health and welfare plans, voluntary benefits, and retirement offerings.
• Ability to analyze data, complete reconciliations, and identify compensation or benefits variances with accuracy.
• Familiarity with compliance-related activities connected to benefits administration, including leave considerations such as FMLA.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to respond clearly to employee, leader, and stakeholder questions.
