Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a finance team in Charlotte, North Carolina in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys managing high-volume payable activity, maintaining accurate vendor records, and using financial systems and spreadsheets to support daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice handling, payment processing, wire transactions, and vendor record updates within NetSuite.

• Review and reconcile payable accounts to ensure transactions are accurate, complete, and properly resolved in a timely manner.

• Use Excel tools such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP to organize, analyze, and validate accounts payable data.

• Support payment operations across methods such as ACH and check runs while helping maintain compliance with internal controls.

• Contribute to documentation updates and recommend improvements that strengthen efficiency and consistency across AP workflows.

• Assist with finance-related projects, including system enhancements, data-related initiatives, and other process support efforts.

• Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to address discrepancies, research issues, and maintain smooth payment operations

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in accounts payable with responsibility for invoice processing, account coding, and payment execution.
• Working knowledge of ACH transactions, check runs, and vendor maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and familiarity with SAP or other enterprise financial systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience performing reconciliations and investigating discrepancies in financial data.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
