Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team in Boca Raton. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

Job Description:

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review and verify employee time records and payroll data.
• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and garnishments.
• Maintain payroll records and employee payroll information.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Process new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and employee status updates.
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll tax filings and year-end reporting, including W-2 preparation.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve payroll-related issues.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Paylocity, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax withholdings, and payroll regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Multi-state payroll experience is a plus.
