Property Administrator

Compensation: $26 Hourly

We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Administrator to support affordable housing operations for a non-profit organization in San Francisco, California. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can balance compliance accuracy with resident-focused service in a fast-paced property management environment. The person in this role will help maintain occupancy standards, coordinate documentation, and support leasing and reporting activities that keep properties aligned with program requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee occupancy records to help ensure resident files and rental information remain compliant with applicable income and rent restrictions.
• Evaluate and process documentation for new residents as well as annual certification renewals, confirming completeness and accuracy before approval.
• Track critical deadlines for recertifications, audits, and related compliance activities to support timely follow-up and reporting.
• Partner with the broader property team on audit preparation, regulatory reporting, procedural updates, and outreach initiatives connected to property operations.
• Support leasing administration by examining lease documents, reviewing screening results, and assisting with other application-related steps.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records so compliance materials are accessible, current, and ready for review.
• Communicate with residents, site teams, and internal stakeholders to gather required documentation and resolve file discrepancies efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of affordable housing regulations and Fair Housing standards.
• Experience in property management, leasing, or occupancy administration within residential or mixed-property settings.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records, deadlines, and multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience using Yardi is preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service approach.
• Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Willingness to stay current on compliance requirements and housing program updates.

Compensation

$26.00-$26.00 Hourly
