Procurement Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Partner with purchasing leadership to support sourcing initiatives, supplier evaluations, proposal activities, and recurring business review preparation.
• Coordinate supplier social and environmental audit activities, track follow-up actions, and help ensure compliance requirements are addressed in a timely manner.
• Manage supplier risk screening through the designated due diligence platform and maintain accurate documentation for onboarding reviews.
• Work across departments to compile vendor performance scorecards and prepare supporting materials for meetings, presentations, and operational discussions.
• Produce and distribute purchasing reports, including spend and productivity tracking, to provide visibility into department performance.
• Conduct pricing comparisons, cost reviews, and ad hoc data analysis to support purchasing decisions and team priorities.
• Assist with new vendor setup requests, liaise with finance on processing status, and monitor timelines through completion.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline purchasing workflows and strengthen team efficiency.
• Maintain productive relationships with suppliers, auditors, and internal stakeholders while providing day-to-day support for additional purchasing needs.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, project coordination, or a related business function.• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, data manipulation, and report development.
• Hands-on experience using Power BI to build reports, dashboards, and visual summaries from raw data.
• Solid understanding of procurement operations, buying processes, purchase orders, and vendor support activities.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong business relationships.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within established procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
