Legal Operations Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Operations Specialist to join its Legal & Compliance Operations team on a full-time, 4-month contract assignment beginning in early August. This opportunity requires candidates to work 40 hours per week on a hybrid schedule, reporting onsite three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) and working remotely on Wednesday and Friday. In this role, you will support a high-priority initiative by reviewing research materials, accurately entering and organizing information within the company's internal platform, and ensuring the integrity and consistency of data. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to learn new processes quickly, and the confidence to work independently while collaborating with the team as needed. This opportunity is well suited for candidates with experience in legal operations, compliance, product operations, business operations, or other process-driven environments where accuracy and organization are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Configure and input large volumes of structured data into an internal product based on established research documentation.
- Accurately translate information from research sheets into predefined system fields while maintaining a high level of precision.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Follow established workflows, documentation, and operating procedures while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
- Conduct limited research to clarify information when needed.
- Identify discrepancies, ask thoughtful questions, and escalate issues appropriately when additional guidance is needed.
- Collaborate with team members during periodic quality assurance reviews and implement feedback as necessary.
- Manage assigned work independently while consistently meeting project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in product operations, business operations, data operations, implementation, systems administration, compliance operations, legal operations, or another detail-oriented, process-driven environment.
- Experience working with large volumes of structured data requiring a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable learning new software platforms and internal systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Naturally curious with the confidence to ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Professional, adaptable, and comfortable working with subject matter experts across varying levels of experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting compliance, legal operations, HR operations, or SaaS product teams.
- Experience with data configuration, workflow management, system administration, or implementation projects.
- Familiarity with structured data, business process documentation, or quality assurance workflows.
- Previous legal research experience is not required, as the primary focus of the role is supporting product operations through accurate information management within the company's internal platform.
