Payroll Processor
Job Description:
Our client, a construction company in Dover, Delaware, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processor with ADP experience to join their team. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting payroll for hourly employees, tracking time accurately, and ensuring timely and compliant payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly or biweekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP.
- Review and validate timecards, hours worked, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
- Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposit information.
- Ensure compliance with payroll policies, wage and hour regulations, and company procedures.
- Respond to employee questions related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end payroll reporting.
- Partner with human resources, accounting, and operations teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Support payroll processing for a construction environment, including hourly employees and varying schedules.
- Assist with special projects and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:

- 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
- Experience using ADP is required.
- Prior payroll experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll regulations, deductions, garnishments, and timekeeping practices.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
