Payroll Processor

Job Description:

Our client, a construction company in Dover, Delaware, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processor with ADP experience to join their team. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting payroll for hourly employees, tracking time accurately, and ensuring timely and compliant payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly or biweekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP.
• Review and validate timecards, hours worked, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
• Maintain payroll records, employee earnings, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposit information.
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies, wage and hour regulations, and company procedures.
• Respond to employee questions related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end payroll reporting.
• Partner with human resources, accounting, and operations teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Support payroll processing for a construction environment, including hourly employees and varying schedules.
• Assist with special projects and reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
• Experience using ADP is required.
• Prior payroll experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, deductions, garnishments, and timekeeping practices.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
