Interim Program Manager – Nonprofit / Public Sector Services

A nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Interim Program Manager to provide leadership and operational support during a temporary coverage period. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in nonprofit programs, public sector services, government-funded programs, provider services, or claims administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily program operations and ensure continuity of services
- Manage and support program teams, including workflow coordination and performance oversight
- Monitor service delivery, claims, provider relations, and compliance requirements
- Partner with internal departments, external providers, and community stakeholders
- Review processes, identify gaps, and implement operational improvements
- Track program metrics, reporting, and documentation requirements
- Provide leadership, guidance, and issue resolution for staff and program activities
Qualifications:
- Prior management or program leadership experience within a nonprofit, government, healthcare, or public sector environment
- Experience managing provider services, claims, benefits, social services, or community-based programs strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and publicly funded programs
- Proven ability to step into a leadership role quickly and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
