Office Assistant
Position Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support daily front desk operations and special projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, managing multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced office environment. The Office Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for clients, residents, and visitors while providing administrative support to the housing team. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy in data entry, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and tenants in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
- Provide information regarding housing programs, applications, and eligibility requirements
- Assist with housing paperwork, documentation, and file maintenance
- Perform high-volume data entry and maintain accurate records
- Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems
- Support special projects, program initiatives, and administrative assignments
- Assist with report preparation and document management
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive client and housing information
- Provide general office support to staff and management
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous office assistant, administrative assistant, receptionist, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Professional and customer-focused demeanor
- Experience working within housing, property management, social services, or nonprofit organizations is a plus
Compensation
