Human Resources Generalist

San Diego, CA 92122, US Temporary
Compensation: $27 to $34 Hourly

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join their team in San Diego, CA. This is ideal for an HR professional with experience across multiple human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the full-cycle onboarding and offboarding process, including new employee orientation and exit procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure HRIS data is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Administer employee benefits and answer benefit-related questions.
  • Support performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Prepare HR reports, maintain confidential documentation, and assist with audits.
  • Participate in special HR projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Working knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification is a plus.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and leave of absence administration.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-site environment.



Compensation

$27.00-$34.00 Hourly
