Staff Accountant

Our client is expanding its accounting team and is looking for a Staff Accountant who wants more than just another month-end close.

This growing biotech company is searching for an accounting professional who enjoys variety, collaboration, and continuous learning. You'll work alongside an experienced Controller and Finance team while supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen their technical accounting skills while gaining exposure to a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Analyze financial data and investigate account variances
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable during peak periods
• Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting accuracy
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• 2–4 years of general accounting experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
