Event Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Event Assistant to support on-site operations for a Contract position in Del Mar, California. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced event environment, assisting attendees, and helping the team keep activities organized throughout the day. The Event Assistant will contribute to a positive guest experience by supporting registration, distributing materials, and preparing event areas before and after the event.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare event spaces before opening by organizing materials, arranging supplies, and helping ensure all areas are ready for attendees.
• Welcome guests as they arrive and provide badges, directions, and general assistance throughout the event.
• Support the registration process by guiding participants through check-in and answering basic questions.
• Move and organize supply boxes and event materials as needed during setup and breakdown activities.
• Assist the event team with maintaining orderly stations and replenishing materials during the event.
• Help dismantle event areas at the end of the day and pack supplies carefully for transport or storage.

Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience or a strong ability to assist guests in a detail-oriented and friendly manner.
• Comfortable performing light to moderate lifting and moving event materials or supply boxes.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, hands-on event setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with attendees and team members.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of following instructions closely.
• Available to work on-site for the duration of the contract assignment.

Compensation

$20.00-$22.00 Hourly
