General Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership within a designated Ace Electric Division. The Human Resources Business Partner will work with key stakeholders at the designated division to provide support with new hire on-boarding, employee relations issues, HR policy guidance and interpretation and related HR matters. The Human Resources Business Partner reports to the HR Director and/or Performance and Compensation Manager.
This is a Home Office position with a primary work location in the Ohio Division Office.
Preferred Job Skills:

Responsibilities:
- Regularly meets with assigned Division(s) to understand staffing needs.
- Assists hiring managers with scheduling interviews for qualified candidates.
- Conducts reference or background checks on job applicants.
- Processes, tracks, and maintains onboarding paperwork for assigned Division.
- Consults with Division management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
- Assists the Human Resources Director with employee relations issue and investigations.
- Maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using HR management system software and paper filing system.
- Participates with special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
- Provides reception and a high level of customer service for employees.
Position Requirements:
- License: None required.
- Certification: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Education: High School Graduate/GED required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years Human Resources Business Partner experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a climate-controlled office setting with varying degrees of stress and time pressure.
- Considerable amount of time making repetitive motions.
- Considerable amount of time sitting.
- Considerable amount of time using telephone and computer.
- Sounds, noise levels may be distracting or uncomfortable.
Required Physical/Mental Functions:
- Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
- Read and interpret instructional manuals and written instructions.
- Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
