Epsilon Systems Solutions is seeking a Elevator Conveyor Support Lead Technician IV in San Diego, CA.
Job Summary:
Provide daily supervision of Elevator/Conveyor mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel performing repairs, preventive maintenance, overhauls, assembly, installation, alignment, troubleshooting, operational testing, and certification of elevator and conveyor systems. Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components, including vertical package conveyors, dumbwaiters, cargo elevators, weapons elevators, and medical personnel evacuation emergency platforms. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable technical standards, maintenance procedures, and operational requirements while maintaining equipment reliability and mission readiness.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversees all aspects of daily ESU maintenance, repair and System Operability Testing (SOT) level & III certification, providing “hands on” operational and technical guidance to assigned technicians as necessary.
Ensure all activities are performed in strict compliance with the approved Controlled Work Packages (CWPs) and all associated procedures and requirements as applicable.
Completes functional checks, tests and analysis, fault detection to formulate required corrective actions.
Provides assessments and/or certification inspections which on Elevator and Conveyor, systems primarily onboard Naval vessels, including but not limited to CG, DDG, LHA, LHD, LPD, LSD, MCMs, LCS and MSC class ships.
Conduct technical research utilizing drawings, technical manuals, design specifications, and engineering technical guidance as required to complete functional checks, tests, analysis, and fault detection to formulate required corrective actions.
Utilizes standard mechanic’s tools, torque wrenches, micrometers, dial
indicators and other precision measuring instruments, fixtures, portable machine tools, and various gauges to effect maintenance, repair, overhaul, assembly, installation, alignment, and testing of shipboard elevator and conveyor equipment, components, and subassemblies.
Assists ships force with obtaining supply and repair parts information as required.
Performs necessary out briefs to ship's force representatives including ship's officers, supporting personnel and customer management.
Tracks and approves assigned employee time documentation, ensuring compliance with company timekeeping policy and accurate alignment to projects as required.
Coordinate leave of assigned personnel, ensuring adequate coverage to support workload
Maintain harmony and teamwork.
Assists with skill development.
Consults with supervisor to address corrective actions on areas of weakness, conflict and/or subordinate job performance.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of work-related experience performing condition assessments, diagnostic inspections, fault isolation and repairs on the following systems: Elevator/Conveyor mechanical systems on US Navy and Coast Guard ships
Comprehensive knowledge of Controlled Work Packages (CWPs), including planning, preparation, execution, and close-out in accordance with project procedures.
Sound interpersonal skills needed to interface, coordinate with company personnel, customers, and outside contacts
Ability to read schematics and blueprints
Ability to read technical manuals and repair standards
Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed written instructions, MRC cards or drawings
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance and CAC
Obtain PQS 301 Craftsmen qualification within 90 days
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $39.78 -$48.13 hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
ADA Notations:
Requires working, walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of noise.
Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways.
Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud.
