JOB SUMMARY
Corvus Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Systems Analyst to support eDiscovery and litigation data operations for the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ). The role processes standard and non-standard data, including mobile device content, social media, websites, forensic images, audio/video, proprietary databases, and specialized reports, and prepares RSMF files for loading into Relativity. The successful candidate will bring strong Oracle, advanced SQL, Python, and Relativity experience; apply defensible eDiscovery and data-integrity practices; and support the migration of approximately 1 PB of data from Relativity Server to RelativityOne during the first six to eight months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with legal, eDiscovery, forensic, information technology, and operational teams to define collection, processing, migration, and production requirements.
Process standard and specialized data, including proprietary files, mobile device content, social media, forensic images, audio/video, database exports, and other non-standard formats.
Process approximately three to five mobile devices each week and create Relativity Short Message Format (RSMF) files for text messages, attachments, and related communications.
Perform approximately three to five web, social media, and/or video captures each week using documented and defensible collection procedures.
Troubleshoot proprietary databases, reports, and unusual file structures and determine appropriate extraction, conversion, processing, and loading methods.
Assist with the migration of approximately 1 PB of data from Relativity Server to RelativityOne during the first six to eight months, including inventory, mapping, reconciliation, validation, and quality control.
Use Oracle and advanced SQL to inspect schemas, query and validate data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve processing issues; create Python scripts to automate repeatable workflows.
Maintain chain-of-custody documentation, processing logs, quality-control records, and data-integrity checks for legally defensible evidence handling.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications include:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, digital forensics, data science, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
At least three years of hands-on experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, forensic data processing, or technical data operations.
Experience processing mobile device data and generating RSMF files for loading text messages and related content into Relativity.
Experience collecting and processing social media, website, and video content using defensible eDiscovery methods.
Experience handling proprietary databases, reports, forensic images, audio/video, and other non-standard formats.
Strong Oracle and advanced SQL skills, plus the ability to create Python scripts for extraction, transformation, validation, and workflow automation.
Hands-on experience with Relativity or RelativityOne, including processing, loading, quality control, and validation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience supporting large-scale migrations from Relativity Server to RelativityOne.
Experience with mobile device, forensic, social media, web, and video collection or processing tools.
Experience managing high-volume eDiscovery transfers, reconciliation, exception handling, and quality control.
Understanding of legal terminology, chain-of-custody requirements, and defensible eDiscovery processes.
Experience supporting the U.S. Department of Justice, another federal agency, or a U.S. Government contract.
