Position Description

Assists in supervision of the operations and coordination of assigned area. May supervise second shift (evening/night) use of facilities and remote sites. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performance is evaluated based on the effectiveness and efficiency of operation of the area supervised. Supervises other staff and/or student employees.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Oversee the referral team members in Surgery, Urology and ENT.
  • Review and approve timecards for team members under your supervision.
  • Manage referral management tools and processes in EPIC and generate reports.
  • Address patient concerns as the on-duty supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on clinic operations.
  • Review clinic schedules for accuracy in Surgery, Urology and ENT.
  • Insert templates in IDX for add-on appointments and acute schedule needs.


Occasional Duties

  • Back up for referrals when staff members are out.
  • Attend training classes.


Required Qualifications

Completion of high school or the equivalent plus five years progressively responsible office administration or supervisory experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisor experience within medical clinic or office.
  • Experience with referral/managed care process.
  • Experience using EPIC.
