AR - Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a team in Riviera Beach, Florida for a Contract position. This role will provide essential accounting support with a strong emphasis on accounts receivable and billing activities while helping maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate brings solid accounting knowledge, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can step in quickly to support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including preparing invoices, monitoring customer balances, and following up on outstanding payments.
• Support billing operations by reviewing charges for accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely invoicing.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain complete and accurate financial records.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances to support month-end close activities.
• Assist with sales tax and corporate tax-related accounting tasks, including gathering data and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and schedules needed for corporate tax return support and other financial reviews.
• Maintain organized accounting records and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
• Provide day-to-day accounting coverage during a contract staffing gap and collaborate with internal stakeholders to keep workflows on track.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role with hands-on responsibility for accounts receivable functions.
• Strong billing background with the ability to manage invoicing processes accurately and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and support for corporate tax return preparation.
• Proficiency in standard accounting systems and spreadsheets used for financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with ORG billing is highly preferred.

Compensation

$24.70-$28.60 Hourly
