Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative for a Contract position based in Washington, District of Columbia. This role supports customer-facing print and document production services by coordinating orders, resolving file and formatting issues, and ensuring timely completion of work. The ideal candidate brings strong service skills, production awareness, and the ability to manage multiple requests while maintaining quality and clear communication.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day operation of print, copy, scanning, and finishing equipment across a variety of job sizes and formats.
• Review incoming requests carefully, interpret job instructions, and carry out production steps in the correct sequence.
• Identify and fix common document setup problems such as alignment, bleed, image clarity, and layout inconsistencies before output.
• Monitor deadlines throughout the day and adjust priorities to keep active work on schedule.
• Record status updates and job movement accurately in production tracking systems to maintain visibility for the team.
• Keep design and production spaces orderly, stocked, and ready for efficient workflow.
• Complete customer orders within established turnaround expectations while upholding quality standards for finished materials.
• Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and coworkers regarding order details, progress, changes, and issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service, print production, document services, or a related support environment.
• Hands-on familiarity with photocopying, document scanning, color printing, or print shop equipment.
• Ability to support inbound and outbound customer communication in a detail-focused and service-focused manner.
• Experience entering orders accurately and managing multiple requests with strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of finishing or bindery tasks and comfort handling both small and large production jobs.
• Exposure to specialized output environments such as printing presses or 3D printing is helpful.
• Strong organizational skills, dependability, and the ability to work effectively under time-sensitive deadlines.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
