Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Los Angeles, California on a Contract basis. In this role, you will help keep receivables accurate and current by overseeing billing activity, recording incoming payments, and addressing account issues promptly. This position plays an important part in supporting reliable financial reporting and healthy cash flow through consistent follow-up and careful account maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Create and distribute customer invoices accurately and within established timelines.

• Record incoming payments and apply cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts.

• Review open receivables regularly, track overdue balances, and conduct timely collection follow-up with commercial clients.

• Perform account reconciliations to confirm balances are correct and resolve variances as they arise.

• Investigate billing questions, payment shortfalls, and other discrepancies to ensure prompt resolution.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, cash applications, or a related accounting function.

• Working knowledge of commercial collections practices and daily cash activity processing.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple transactions accurately.

• Solid organizational skills and the ability to follow through on outstanding items.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
