Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in Houston, Texas in a contract-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience processing payables, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting vendor-related inquiries in a fast-paced environment. The position calls for strong attention to detail, confidence working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:
• Process invoices, verify payment details, and ensure transactions are entered accurately within the accounting system.
• Review vendor account activity, reconcile discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding items to keep records current.
• Maintain organized accounts payable documentation and support the timely completion of payment cycles.
• Enter high volumes of numeric data with precision while checking for completeness and accuracy.
• Use Microsoft Excel to track payable activity, prepare reports, and assist with account analysis.
• Work within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to manage invoice records, payment status, and vendor information.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing questions and support smooth payment operations.
• Provide bilingual support in Spanish when assisting vendors or collaborating with stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.
• Practical experience reviewing vendor statements and resolving account discrepancies.
• Strong numeric data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and organizing financial information.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP/accounting platform.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a detail-driven environment.
• Spanish language skills with the ability to communicate professionally in a business setting.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
