Sales Assistant

We are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to support recruitment efforts in New Gloucester, Maine. This Long-term Contract position is fully onsite and is ideal for someone who communicates confidently, enjoys outreach-focused work, and can represent our client's programs in a thoughtful and engaging manner.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain outreach efforts to generate interest in academic programs.

• Coordinate and attend recruitment activities such as visit days, informational events, fairs, and guided tours to engage prospective candidates.

• Develop productive relationships with counselors, community contacts, and referral partners to expand program visibility and encourage inquiries.

• Assist prospective candidates throughout the admissions journey by answering questions and providing clear information about program expectations, options and available resources.

• Serve as a visible representative of the institution at external events.

• Track recruitment outreach, prospect communications, and enrollment-related activity using institutional systems to keep records accurate and current.

• Work closely with support staff, and other internal departments to ensure candidates receive timely and consistent information.

• Use social media to support outreach.

• Contribute to additional recruitment and sales support tasks as needed to meet goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience in sales, outreach, recruiting, or a customer-facing support role.

• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.

• Comfortable managing both inbound and outbound calls as part of outreach and follow-up activities.

• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to a wide variety of people.

• Proficiency with social media platforms for clear communication and audience engagement.

• Ability to stay organized, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Confidence presenting information to individuals and groups in a clear and organized manner.

• Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
