Law Clerk/Paralegal

We are looking for a detail-oriented Law Clerk/Paralegal to join a busy legal practice in Glendale, California on a Contract basis. In this role, you will provide direct support to two attorneys handling matters across family law, civil disputes, and immigration cases. The position is well suited to someone who can balance legal administrative work with document preparation, filing coordination, and case organization in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support two attorneys with daily legal and administrative tasks, helping keep active matters organized and moving forward.

• Prepare and submit court filings through the appropriate state, federal, and immigration e-filing platforms while ensuring documents meet filing requirements.

• Coordinate discovery-related activities by organizing records, tracking materials, and assisting with case preparation.

• Maintain an accurate legal calendar that includes hearings, filing deadlines, meetings, and other time-sensitive events.

• Draft foundational versions of motions, oppositions, and other pleadings for attorney review and revision.

• Use case management and legal research tools such as MyCase, Clio, and Lexis or LexisAI to assist with workflow, matter tracking, and research support.

• Participate in cross-training to learn office systems and procedures as needed for the assignment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as a law clerk, paralegal, or legal assistant within a law firm or similar legal setting.
• Hands-on experience with electronic court filing processes.
• Working knowledge of discovery support and legal calendaring practices.
• Ability to manage assignments for multiple attorneys while handling shifting deadlines and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with MyCase, Clio, and Lexis or LexisAI is preferred.
• Exposure to family law, civil litigation, or immigration matters is a plus.

Compensation

$33.25-$38.50 Hourly
