Senior Accounting Analyst
We are looking for a Sr. Accounting Analyst (right hand to Controller and CFO) to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position will help lead core fund accounting activities, support accurate and timely financial reporting, and provide oversight across fund operations. The role is well suited for someone coming from public audit who brings strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Help lead fund-level accounting activities, including maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of journal entries, and execution of month-end close procedures.
• Prepare and review financial reports for investment vehicles, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with applicable reporting standards and governing agreements.
• Reconcile capital accounts, bank activity, and other key balances to support reliable records and transparent investor reporting.
• Coordinate day-to-day fund administration work with third-party providers, auditors, and other external partners to keep deliverables on schedule.
• Support capital activity by tracking cash movements, assisting with capital calls and distributions, and monitoring liquidity across funds.
• Partner with investment and operations teams to analyze fund performance, explain financial results, and provide insights that inform business decisions.
• Strengthen accounting processes by refining controls, improving reporting workflows, and promoting consistency across recurring activities.
• Assist with audit readiness, respond to documentation requests, and help ensure compliance with fund documentation and reporting obligations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant designation is highly preferred.
• At 2+ years of public audit experience ideally.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative on-site setting.
