Legal Secretary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant for a short-term, on-site assignment in Oakhurst, NJ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting litigation matters, including New Jersey court filings, e-filing, discovery preparation, motion practice support, and document management.

Location: Oakhurst, NJ (On-Site; 5 days per week)

Duration: 3–4 Week Assignment

Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and track legal documents with New Jersey courts
• Handle electronic court filings (e-filing) and ensure compliance with court deadlines and requirements
• Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of motions and related court documents
• Support all phases of the discovery process, including organizing responsive documents and preparing production materials
• Gather, review, and maintain legal documents and case files
• Coordinate with attorneys, courts, and external parties regarding case-related matters
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all filing deadlines are met

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Litigation Legal Assistant
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey court filing procedures
• Experience with e-filing systems
• Familiarity with motions, discovery, and litigation support
• Excellent organizational and document management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management
