Customer Service Representative
Responsibilities:
• Respond to a high volume of inbound calls from individuals requesting rental assistance and provide clear, supportive guidance throughout each interaction.
• Assess applicant eligibility by using established screening criteria and asking the appropriate follow-up questions.
• Complete and review required forms with applicants to ensure information is accurate, complete, and ready for processing.
• Advocate internally on behalf of applicants who meet program requirements to help secure available funding and support timely decisions.
• Submit completed documentation for internal payment processing in accordance with program procedures.
• Enter applicant information into computer systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain organized records and track case progress to support efficient follow-up and service delivery.
• Handle sensitive conversations with empathy, patience, and professionalism when assisting people in stressful situations.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in customer service, call center support, or another high-volume phone-based role.• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
• Demonstrated empathy and patience when assisting individuals facing challenging personal circumstances.
• Solid computer proficiency, including data entry and navigating multiple systems accurately.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage documentation and follow-up tasks effectively.
• Ability to follow established screening tools, procedures, and detailed instructions consistently.
• Comfortable managing inbound and outbound calls while maintaining service quality and attention to detail.
Compensation
