Case Manager / Administrative Assistant

Compensation: $27 to $30 Hourly

We are looking for a bilingual Spanish Case Manager / Administrative Assistant to support client intake, case coordination, and administrative operations in South San Francisco, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong organizational skills with a compassionate, service-oriented approach when working with vulnerable and underserved communities. The position plays an important role in guiding clients through assessments, connecting them with essential resources, and maintaining accurate documentation while collaborating with staff and partner agencies.


Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients and conduct intake interviews, gather relevant background information, and complete assessments to identify immediate and long-term service needs.

• Create and update individualized service plans that help clients work toward stability in areas such as housing, income, health care, and transportation.

• Provide day-to-day case management support by following up on client progress, responding to urgent concerns, and offering crisis support when needed.

• Assist clients with practical administrative needs, including completing forms, preparing written correspondence, and translating or interpreting in Spanish during service interactions.

• Maintain complete and accurate client records in both paper and electronic formats and enter timely information into agency databases and tracking systems.

• Support front office activities by answering calls, helping visitors, coordinating communication, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows.

• Prepare reports, track service activity, and review case information to help assess outcomes and strengthen service delivery practices.

• Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and external service providers while addressing client concerns professionally and escalating incidents within required timeframes.

• Participate in meetings, trainings, and case review discussions, and contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.

• Remain available for a flexible work schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on program needs.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required; Master’s in Social Work preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in case management, intake coordination, or a similar role that includes both direct client support and administrative responsibilities.
• Experience working with low-income, homeless, or highly vulnerable populations, including individuals affected by mental health conditions, substance use, trauma, or violence.
• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to coordinate effectively with partner agencies and service providers.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills required; Cantonese or Mandarin language ability is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual communication platforms such as Zoom, and the ability to learn case management systems and databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, conflict resolution, crisis response, and data management skills.
• Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation

$27.00-$30.00 Hourly
