Accounts Payable Clerk
The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in a manufacturing setting, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices.
- Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and payment information.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and build positive supplier relationships.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations.
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payment of obligations.
- Support year-end audit requests and provide documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and operations teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience processing high-volume invoices and working with purchase orders.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and AP best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, NetSuite, or similar accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation
