Payroll Clerk

• Process payroll data accurately and on schedule, including hours worked, deductions, taxes, and other earnings adjustments.
• Review timekeeping records and verify payroll information for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain payroll records and employee data in accordance with company policies and confidentiality requirements.
• Assist with payroll-related questions from employees and help resolve discrepancies.
• Support payroll tax, garnishment, and direct deposit processing as needed.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with recordkeeping for audits and compliance purposes.
• Coordinate with human resources, accounting, and management to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Help ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, payroll regulations, and internal procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience in payroll, accounting support, data entry, or clerical administration preferred.
• Basic understanding of payroll procedures, timekeeping, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll or timekeeping systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing confidential employee information.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of wage and hour regulations and payroll compliance practices is a plus.
