Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Arrowhead Winch in Okmulgee, OK is seeking a 3rd Shift Painter to work Sunday-Thursday, 10:30PM to 7AM. This position offers a salary range from $20.81 to $30.55, with a night differential of $2.40 an hour. This position reports to the day shift Assembly supervisor.

Arrowhead Winch does require applicants to complete a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical as a condition of employment. Our goal is for all employees to work safely without injury while maintaining the highest safety standards in compliance with company policies.

This offer includes a one-time signing bonus of $1,000, which will be grossed up to cover the tax withholdings. The first half will be paid on the next payroll date following your 90th day of employment and the second half will be paid on the next payroll date following your 180th day of employment. To qualify for either payment, you must be employed by the company on the applicable payment dates. If your employment is terminated by the company for misconduct, including policy violations, or if you terminate your employment voluntarily prior to completing one year of employment, you agree to repay the full amount of the signing bonus within 30 days following your termination date, and by signing this offer letter, you permit us to deduct an outstanding repayment balance from your final paycheck, to the extent permissible under applicable law.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate titration on cabinet washer and operate washer to clean product prior to paint.
  • Determine if material is prepared for paint process.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering Department if material is not paint ready
  • Prep paint area prior to painting.
  • Mix paint to proper ratio as determined by supplier.
  • Must be able to properly manage inventories to ensure the proper amount of paint remains on hand.
  • Paint various products at various angles using pneumatic paint guns and electro-static paint guns, cup guns, and paint tanks.
  • Read blueprints to determine specified paint color.
  • Use hoists and lifts to lifts to position and move product.
  • Use computer to document completion of unit.
  • Housekeeping in paint area, including taking apart and cleaning paint gun.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of all hazardous and non-hazardous waste used.
  • Daily visual inspections of area safety equipment.
  • Participate improvements to enhance productivity product quality.
  • Must actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member amongst other assemblers to accomplish monthly production goals in a safe, respectful, and timely manner.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to follow all verbal or written work instruction, operations, and procedures
  • Have the ability to use a variety of pneumatic paint guns and precision instruments (paint thickness tester, air flow meter, gloss meter)
  • Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints
  • Ability to recognize irregularities of finish
  • Understand the variety of paints, their proper mix ratios and dry times
  • Ability to use material handling equipment (Floor jack and stand-up forklift, etc.) to pull and position parts and materials necessary to perform your assigned tasks
  • Ability to work around a variety of chemicals including but not limited to paints, solvents, soaps, and catalyst
  • Have a good mechanical background, or aptitude.
  • Have the ability to use pneumatic tools and impacts.

  • Basic computer skills required for production management system


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must have good hand eye coordination and hand dexterity.
  • Must be physically able to use hand tools and power tools frequently.
  • Must be able to frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8 to10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to frequently bend and squat.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to apply 65 pounds of push/pull force.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent exposure to greases, oils, solvents, and surface coatings.
  • Must be capable of safely working with and around heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Must be able to see clearly and follow written instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly.
