Inventory Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the organization of the textile sample storage area so materials are clearly labeled, neatly arranged, and easy for the team to locate.
• Enter newly received samples into the inventory system by scanning, cataloging, and updating records with accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels across sample materials and coordinate replenishment when quantities begin to run low.
• Prepare and pull sample assortments for designers as needed to support presentations and client-facing meetings.
• Welcome studio visitors in a courteous and detail-oriented manner while assisting with sample-related needs during appointments.
• Receive incoming deliveries, inspect materials, and place items in the appropriate storage locations promptly.
• Use ladders safely to retrieve, arrange, and store materials kept on higher shelving units.
• Provide day-to-day support for operational and administrative inventory tasks as priorities shift within the studio.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in inventory coordination, stockroom organization, office support, or a related function is preferred.• Strong organizational ability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfort working with physical materials, including lifting boxes and accessing items on elevated shelves.
• Ability to learn inventory, cataloging, or sample management software quickly and use digital tools effectively.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with designers, operations staff, and visitors.
• Interest in textiles, interiors, furnishings, or design environments is an advantage.
• Availability to work on-site in San Francisco, California in a studio setting.
• Ability to perform physical duties such as standing, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Compensation
