Project Manager - OpenGov Implementation
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new enterprise software platform across the organization. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the implementation successfully while ensuring alignment among stakeholders, adherence to project timelines, and achievement of business objectives.
The Project Manager will serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, software vendors, and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
Note: PMP certification is not required for this position.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with software implementation teams and internal stakeholders to align project goals, requirements, and expectations.
- Lead project kickoff meetings, status updates, and progress review sessions.
- Identify project risks, issues, and roadblocks, and proactively drive resolution strategies.
Implementation Oversight
- Ensure all necessary data, documentation, and business process workflows are prepared for system implementation.
- Oversee system configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities.
- Monitor project progress against milestones and adjust plans as needed to maintain project schedules.
- Ensure project team members complete assigned deliverables and meet deadlines.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the central point of contact for implementation-related communications.
- Provide regular project updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making processes and maintain clear documentation of project changes and scope updates.
- Build strong relationships across cross-functional teams to support successful project outcomes.
Training & Change Management
- Coordinate end-user training and knowledge transfer activities.
- Support user readiness initiatives and promote adoption of new processes and system capabilities.
- Assist teams in transitioning to new workflows and technologies.
Documentation & Reporting
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, status reports, and change logs.
- Track project performance metrics and provide post-implementation evaluations and recommendations.
•Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of project management experience, preferably involving software implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, best practices, and implementation lifecycles.
- Experience with workflow design, process mapping, and change management initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through organizational and technical changes.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large-scale projects effectively.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government, public-sector, or highly regulated organizations.
- Experience managing enterprise software, ERP, SaaS, or digital transformation implementations.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as:
- Microsoft Project
- Asana
- Monday.com
- Smartsheet
Compensation
